I'm sorry, but I've mostly seen enough of a pet abuse. It is a serious problem so I thought I'd talk about it. I am talking mainly about reptiles, but also other pets. First of all, I have seen many cases of parents getting their children pets in like a minute. Who makes a decision that fast? First of all, it took me a month to get my bearded dragon. One day, at a nearby Petco store, I saw a girl that wanted to hold a guinea pig. She said that she wasn't getting one. At least a minute later, I saw her and her father getting small animal supplies. I was in shock. Here's another case of this in this video. As you can see, they made a decision to buy a chinchilla without doing research. Chinchillas require at least some research before buying one. Next, it's about lizards. Most careless reptile owners go to a pet store and decide to buy a reptile without doing ANY research. This especially happens with kids as well. They will go to a pet store, and listen to the staff. Most staff would be wrong, as at Petco they would do mostly rodent research when dealing with kids. Most of the information is wrong and their lizard possibly will get metabolic bone disease. Or, since Petco abuses most of their lizards and takes care of their other animals mostly, they might already have metabolic bone disease. Here is a video regarding on what I am talking about. Well, that's it. I needed to get that out of my system. I'll be giving pet advice in new posts, so stay tuned.

For all you art geeks, like me, here's a little post about digital art vs traditional art. Now, let's get into digital art. It takes a lot more skill than drawing on paper, and it has a pretty high budget if you want some of the best tablets and best art programs, like photoshop. But if you want it cheap, you can get no tablet. The mouse will be harder, so if you are beginner, I would recommend a tablet. An amazing free art program is FireAlpaca. There are many tutorials on FireAlpaca and if you're getting a tablet I am positive there will be instructions to connect it to your laptop/computer. Now, there is MS Paint. It is a weak, old, program, but it is pretty easy to use, but it would probably be hard on an art tablet, but you can use a mouse. Here's a video of an MS Paint speedpaint. The pen is pretty sloppy on MS paint with a mouse and the lines are semi hard to bend. I am not a very good digital artist myself, but I am going to do more in the future. If you're a beginner or just want to watch some videos on digital art, check out Leslie Lu Marie's channel. She is a pro at art and has some good tips for beginners on digital art. Here's one of her videos on FireAlpaca. Also, FireAlpaca can be downloaded on Mac and Windows and is virus free. Now, that was a lot to say about digital art. Now let's get on to paper art, like sketches and stuff. It has a relatively low budget and if you do not have a computer or something then you can start out with this. It is easy to do art outside of the digital world, and tutorials are super easy to do. I would recommend anime drawings and tutorials, because there is lots of that in digital art and it's really fun and gets you even more experience in non digital art. I recommend starting out with eyes, then going on to bodies and characters and ocs. All you do is start out with a pencil and draw, draw, draw! If you run out of ideas, just sketch bases or fandom characters. If any of your first drawings are bad, don't worry! Even some of the best artists had HORRIBLE drawings too! FINDING WHICH IS BEST FOR YOUNow, both of these types of art are great, but if you want to take a giant leap and really want to kickstart it, go for digital art. If you want to start small, go for non digital art and just draw. I am really bad at doing heads, faces, expressions, and hair, so most of the time I color in faces and draw the rest of their body, then I name them "Faceless (insert name here)" Yes, it's very stupid but I will work on it. I recently got a sketchbook so I better not waste money. If art in general doesn't sound like your thing, I choose writing. It's very simple. All you need is a notebook, pencil, good vocabularly, and great inspiration and a great imagination. I love writing and art. If you want to do both, that's ok! By the way, sign up for Chicken Smoothie. It's an awesome game about collecting pets, and there is awesome forums for writers, artists, and more. There are lots of fandom discussions. If you're just a general animal lover, you can just sign up and collect pets with trading. It's an awesome game for all types of people. Well, hope you enjoyed reading! See you later!! Oops, wrong image... oh well. I'll keep it there.
I know what you're thinking- "What's a shingleback skink?" A shingleback skink is a type of blue tongue skink. There are other names for it, such as a bobtail skink and it's scientific name, Tiliqua rugosa. In countries other than Australia, if you want to get one as a pet, these guys will cost about 3000-4000 dollars US money. In Australia, they go for about 100 to 200 dollars US money. I bet most of you reptile fans out there know what the common blue tongue skink is. If not, here's a gif. Now, here's the shingleback skink. They are both so cute!! Now more on the bobtail/shingleback skink. These guys live in Australia where a lot of pet reptiles live, like the bearded dragon. I have seen quite a few videos where the owners of shingleback skinks feed them strawberries, but I have not done much research on these guys. Also, in the blue tongue skink gif you can see it is eating a superworm. If you want a shingleback skink, make sure to do extensive research and save some money up. There are not much articles on these guys but if you dig deep enough you might be able to find some good research!
By now, you should know that Club Penguin is shutting down. Club penguin is a popular children's online game where you can do many things.
Now, let's go to why club penguin is shutting down. I think it is because the game is pretty old and the graphics are strange and nothing's really changed over the years for Club Penguin, so Disney is shutting it down for a fresh start. There are games like Animal Jam that have been here since 2010, and they have changed a lot and people make lots of videos on them. No one really makes videos of Club Penguin, until YouTubers learned it was shutting down so now they are trying the game before it ends. Club Penguin hasn't changed a lot, so maybe this is why they are shutting down. The game started in 2005. When I was younger, I had a Club Penguin account and I played a lot, but as I got older the game got more boring. I still appeal to LPS and Animal Jam because there is teens and young adults that still do it. Club Penguin is only a game for less mature people, so it doesn't appeal to many people on YouTube or audiences. It mostly only appeals to the younger audience, while LPS and Animal Jam still have teen and young adult audiences, since LPS Popular was more of a mature thing and it kind of blasted off the LPS community. Well, there you have it. Sorry if it didn't make much sense at the end there, but this is why I think Club Penguin is shutting down. Now, this isn't a popular topic, but I decided to post about it anyway. What is the best type of tegu? I will be going through which one is the easiest to tame, best color, and price. First, which one is the easiest to tame? Argentine black and white tegus. Red tegus, however, are a little bit harder to tame. If you want more of a pretty display pet, go for a red tegu. Next, which tegu is the cheapest? Colombian tegus. They can go for as low as 50 bucks! But they are impossible to tame. You will get bitten by one at least once. What is the best color? I think the blue tegu is the best color. But they also are very hard to tame and very expensive. I've heard of purple tegus, but I have done no research on them so I cannot have them in here. If you're wanting a display pet, go for a blue tegu or a Colombian tegu. Blue tegus are more expensive and very hard to tame. Colombian tegus are cheap and hard to tame, but they come in a nice gold or black and white color. Argentine black and white tegus are dull in color, have a medium price, but are very easy to tame. Red tegus have a nice color, easy to tame, and are somewhat more expensive than Argentine black and white tegus. Overall, I would get an Argentine black and white or a red tegu. But if you want to have a pretty lizard, go for one of the display pets. Here are some pictures of the tegus that I've listed in this post. Argentine Black and White Tegu: Red Tegu: Gold Colombian Tegu: Blue Tegu: Columbian Black and White Tegu: (btw credit to owner of these images and I realized I spelled Columbian wrong most of the time I was writing this so ye)
Hello everyone. My family is going to Hawaii for spring break and we're looking for someone to take care of our beardie and dog when we're gone. Well, we've already found someone but I wanted to see if reptiles could go on planes. I checked many forums. They said to check your airline's pet policy. My airline would be Delta, so I checked their policy. It said that reptiles could only be shipped by cargo. There are several reasons why these reptiles shouldn't be shipped by cargo, but should be able to be carry ons.
1. Reptiles are just like dogs and cats, but they're relatively smaller and just as tame. 2. They can die from stress and not getting the heat, but having someone there for them (you) would make them feel better. 3. They are kept in up to the same size carriers as dogs and cats and such. 4. No one can get allergic to reptiles. 5. Reptiles are very popular animals, and having them away from you could be stressful for you too. 6. You do not have to worry about their health if they are taken in as carry ons. I just think that it's cruel that they wont let reptiles be carry ons. If you agree, post a comment and we can all tell Delta and other airlines to let reptiles be carry ons! (Unless they are a giant anaconda snake, it wouldn't fit in the plane probably.) Any people out there searching for a pet? If you are, you have come to the right place. This post will decide if reptiles are for you, or if you should get a different kind of pet.
Ok, let's talk about care. Reptiles need special heating and lighting because they need to develop bone structure and they are cold blooded animals. You will need UVA and UVB lighting and a heat lamp. I do not know if it is different for some other reptiles, I only study bearded dragons and tegus, and I will also study more later on. Reptiles will also need certain diets. This is easy to maintain, but it might be expensive. If this will be your first pet, I recommend a bearded dragon or a leopard gecko. Tegus can be beginners if you have the money and time, tegus are simple and easy to tame. Most reptiles have an insect diet, but for iguanas it is similiar to a tegu. Tegus eat meat, greens, protein, all kinds of stuff. If this is your first time getting a pet, and you want a tegu, black and white argentine tegus are good. I wouldn't recommend giving them to a kid, unless they were big enough and mature enough to handle one. Tegus can grow to be really big (4 to 5 feet long), so if you are a child or have a child that is under that length, or they aren't mature enough, I wouldn't get a tegu. Now, bearded dragons and leopard geckos are GREAT pets for kids. They are relatively small and don't require much care. They are adorable and they will just chill with you, and they are easy to tame. You only have to keep them in a 40 gallon tank when they are full grown while tegus about a 300 gallon tank, even if you decide to make your tegu a free roam one. Leopard geckos and bearded dragons should not free roam because they are tiny and you won't be able to find them. Tegus are big and easy to find, so if you want a free roam tegu, you can get a litter box or take it outside to go to the bathroom. It will be just like a dog, but when it's sleepy time you will have to put it back in it's cage, unless you want it to sleep in your bed or in a dog bed. Now, I wouldn't recommend reptiles to everyone, especially if you aren't mature enough for one. If you want a pet, put lots of research into it. If you don't want something that eats worms and such, or doesn't require special heat or lighting, I would go for a small animal like a hamster, guinea pig, or a ferret. If you do not have spare time, I would choose a ferret. I watched something that said ferrets don't need you home a lot. If you want something SUPERR KAWAII I would go for a hamster or guinea pig. I'm not sure about mice or rats.. I also would recommend a bunny, I don't know if they require a lot of care, but my friend has quite a few bunnies. If you want to be super basic, go for a dog or a cat. Tegus are similiar to them, but not in diet. I have a dog, and they don't require a lot of care except exercise and their waste may be hard to pick up. If you want some sort of display pet, I would choose a bird. They have amazing colors and their cages are easy to find. I don't know how you would get them to come onto your arm, that must take some work. All I own is a bearded dragon and a dog. I am planning to get a tegu. After reading this, what pet do you want now? It really depends on your taste, maturity, and how much time and money the pet takes. Here are some care sheets: This is mainly my opinion, sorry if you don't agree. But here are some of the cutest reptiles (in my opinion) you can own. 1. The tegu. Tegus even as adults are adorable. If you took one on a walk in a public area, everyone would want to pet him/her! They can be hard to take care of, and have an expensive budget, but these guys would definitely win a lizard pageant! 2. The bearded dragon. These guys are friendly, easy to tame creatures, that are easy to take care of. These guys are also cute as an adult or a baby. But, you can also compliment them in the looks department! 3. The leopard gecko. Leopard geckos are much like bearded dragons in budget and care and taming, they also have a similiar diet. But once you see their adorable faces and cute fat tails, you will definitely want one of these! (Credit to the owner of these images. I do not own any of them.)
Can you handle these corgi pictures? Corgis are one of my favorite dogs so I decided to make a little post about them. Here are some of the cutest corgi images EVER. By the way, credit to the people who own these images! Well hope you enjoyed this little cute post. I thought it was too much. *dies of cuteness* Well, goodbye!
Hello! This is Kelto. This is my first ever post! Today I will be talking about why I think the rare headdress on Animal Jam should be rarer than the rest. I mean, rare item mondays aren't supposed to be worth much. But in this case, it should be worth a lot. I have left a picture of an animal in a rare headdress here. This is my animal, by the way. So, let me explain why rare headdresses should be rarer than the rest of the headdresses.
Well, it was a once in a lifetime chance for all the headdresses should be equal rarity. But this one you could only get for one day! Even if more people bought it, it shouldn't mean that it's rarer. Please do not post hate comments, this is only my opinion, not yours. Since they were a once in a lifetime chance, that means they are rarer. Yeah, yeah, I know what your thinking. You can only get these ones in The Forgotten Desert. They are really hard to get though, which makes it even rarer. Well, that is why I think that these purple and white rare headdresses should be rarer than the other headdresses OR maybe they could be worth as much as the rest. Well, goodbye! Hope you enjoyed my first post! |
